The Business Property Statement E-File program

No new software or filing fee is required to participate

Starting in 2007, small business owners may e-file Business Property Statements quickly and easily on-line with the new e-SDR system.

The e-SDR guides you through each step and accepts Forms 571-L, 571-R, 571-A or 571-F. Statements are completed one at a time by filling in the blanks on-line. The system does all the calculations for you, and you can save a statement and come back later to complete it. You will get a confirmation number with a date and time stamp when you submit the statement. You do not need to buy any special software to use e-SDR.

What You Need To Know

  • In January 2007, you will be mailed an e-file notification letter containing your Account Number and Business ID Number (BIN). You will use this information to login to your account and file your Business Property Statement.
  • In February 2007, you may go on-line to www.calbpsfile.org and click on the >> e-SDR user button on the left. Filing instructions, help screens, and reference materials are provided for your assistance.
  • Filers can print a completed form 571 with schedules, filing confirmation and the exact time it was submitted. Statements are stored on-line for seven (7) years, so you can get a copy whenever you need one.
If you have not received an e-file notification letter by 2/1/2007, with the appropriate login information please call (951) 955-6210.

IMPORTANT SECURITY INFORMATION: Your Account Number and BIN provides secure access to your statement, guards your confidential information and protects your privacy. Statements are encrypted and transmitted on a secured site to protect confidential information.
